Work History

Sr Technical Mgr/Developer/Architect Lumenos, Inc.

Jan 2000 to Dec 2002

I was responsible for architecting, designing, coding and also managing a team of 3 Jr. Siebel developers to build a complete CRM solution using Siebel 2000 for Lumenos’ Sale Force, Marketing and Call center divisions. As Lumenos is a startup healthcare company, I had to assume many roles and was required to perform all aspects of the development life-cycle including analysis, business processes, design, coding, testing, deployment and production support. To provide updates of Siebel data from external sources, I built a MS VB/COM application to load client data from an Oracle 8.1.5 db into Siebel using Siebel VB/COM dataserver and EIM technology.

I was also responsible for migrating and upgrading Lumenos’ Siebel CRM solution from Siebel 2000 to Siebel 7.0. I was responsible for all aspects of the Siebel 7.0 migration, which included custom Siebel VBscript migration, as well as the migration of 100’s of custom views and applets. I built many new customer service screens utilizing new Siebel 7.0 technology and eliminated data update issues with external systems and incorporated all external healthcare data into a few easy to use views which greatly reduced call times and CSA personnel frustrations.

I built a Siebel view, which allowed CSA’s to search for a member directly against an external Oracle database. This solution eliminated the need to replicate external data into Siebel, thus reducing data update errors and the resources required to manage this process. I also built a customer service view which provided critical member demographic data along with the member’s healthplan information, segment dates, web profile, all healthcare claims, SR’s, SR Activities, and SR attachments all on one view. This greatly reduced the Siebel "view thrashing" for CSA’s and was achieved by using Siebel VBC technology along with custom MS VB/COM components and Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures.

I was responsible for architecting, designing, coding, deploying and managing development for the LITES custom claims processing system. The LITES system was a batch load claims processing system with a web front-end. The LITES system was integrated with an off-the-shelf traditional claims processing system called QMACS. The LITES system contained a claims processing engine to enforce Lumenos’ consumer-driven healthcare claim processing rules required by our clients. The LITES system provided claim work flow, claim manual entry, batch claim load automation with logging and claims processing. The LITES system also contains a financial module, which produced checks to pay providers, a check register, and an automated Positive Pay module. I was the Sr. tech lead, solution architect and Sr.. developer on the LITES project and was also responsible for managing 5 other developers.

The LITES system was built using MS SQL Server 2000, IIS 5.0, .ASP (HTML, JavaScript), and utilized SQL Server DTS technology.
