Served as Project Manager for SBF who will be deploying the PeopleSoft (V8.8) web-based SFA solution to approximately 500 users (internal sales and field sales) in 17 locations across the US. The PeopleSoft SFA solution will enhance communications between the customers (schools), internal Sales Consultants, external Field Representatives, and management. SBF’s unique sales process will be automated and is expected to reduce the sales consultants planning process by 35%, providing them the ability to focus their time and efforts on sales and customer service, rather than on planning sales activities. The solution, which will be integrated to a legacy application, is also being considered for deployment at numerous other divisions within the international parent organization.

A $24 billion global, progressive organization, with a vast range of products and services, from high-tech components to computers and cell phones, from state-of-the-art industrial plants to products used in your home or business.
Managed a team of 15 IT professionals responsible for the design & development of an enterprise wide Siebel 2000 CRM - Call Center application designed to replace their legacy DK Call Tracking system. Project goals included increased system functionality, enhancement of user’s abilities to provide customer satisfaction, ease of use, and ability to satisfy service requests seamlessly across the organization. Developers utilized Siebel 2000 Tools to configure the system, EIM to initially load data and later exchange data with integrated systems, and Actuate for management reporting. The new Siebel system was rolled out in three phases to approximately 150 users, whose divisions included HRIS, HRSC, HSOP, Pension Apps, Retirement Pension Planning, Small Cap Pension, Post Retirement & CST. The Siebel call center system interfaces with Honeywell’s FileNet Imaging system. As image documents are scanned and indexed, they create service requests within Siebel to which the images are linked. FileNet images can then be viewed from within the Siebel application. Sr. Systems Engineer for NYC Mayor’s Office of Operations Year 2000 Project Office. Managed a team of analysts responsible for an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) and QA of mission critical IT systems for city agencies. Agencies included: Fire Dept., Dept. of Correction, Dept. of Probation, Dept. of Consumer Affairs, Taxi & Limousine Commission, Dept. of Environmental Protection, Dept. of Labor Relations, & Office of the Mayor. IV&V & QA assessments were performed to determine the quality of Y2K code remediation and testing efforts for those critical systems. Objective to verify agency readiness, identify risk exposure and recommend risk mitigation strategies was achieved by reviewing agency strategic plans, test plans, test strategies, test scripts, test results, problem logs, change management procedures, and by interviewing agency commissioners and MIS staff. Compliance was measured against NYC processes, federal guidelines and industry standards. Results and findings were documented and presented to the agencies. Participated in the organization, development and design of ‘playbooks’ for use by agencies and the EOC (Emergency Operations Center). ‘Playbooks’ were the key vehicles used for the communication and tracking of agency progress throughout the Y2K rollover weekend. The project was heralded a resounding success; there were no Y2K failures on NYC mission critical systems during the Y2K rollover.

Project Manager-Workflow/Imaging, Reengineering Managed the implementation of a workflow system for this International Transportation Company, which resulted in the enterprise wide consolidation of their Bill of Lading Processing operations. The workflow provided image scanning, indexing and viewing of bills of lading and other affiliated documents. Ninety percent of documents were received via fax from remote port locations, and interfaced into workflow via fax gateways. Reengineering and consolidation of operations was expected to substantially decrease the time and expense to process bills of ladings and increase client satisfaction by elimination of lost documents. Responsibilities included full life-cycle application development; analysis, design, risk assessment, planning, testing, quality assurance, change management, and deployment.
