Some Achievements

Test Harness

Issue:

COMPAQ needed a test harness to trap results during a data migration project.

This posed a problem as there were more than 700 different types of events that could be applied and a unique view for each was out of the question.

Resolution:

I created a template form using Visual Basic, which could through user choice have a selection of controls allocated to the form to test with. The controls were only present for as long as the user needed them before it would revert back to the blank template. Making the form dynamic, I successfully got around the need for multiple forms.

SalesLogix Implementation

Issue:

The Partnership Group needed a CRM package that needed to be LAN and web based as well as handling remote clients and offices.

Resolution:

Having been newly trained, I made an aggressive implementation for our LAN and remote office users first. This meant I had to coordinate a scaled rollout between Perth and Singapore, which was handled successfully. I then implemented the web module that allowed all Australian users to view data wherever they were.

Analyst Skills

Issue:

A major data migration project for a COMPAQ client required code conversion from a 4GL language to English.

Resolution:

My development background helped considerably and I used this to my advantage by completing sections of code rapidly. I had to manage this task along with other development tasks that were asked of me.
