Working primarily in the medical and pharmaceutical fields, designing and implementing
Siebel projects. Two full life-cycle, customer facing projects, with full involvement
in the gathering of business requirements, fit/gap analysis, design of the Siebel
solution and implementation of the software, holding key/lead configurator positions
on both projects.
Currently working on a Sales Force effectiveness Siebel 7.5 project involving a Siebel 6 to 7.5 upgrade.

Johnson and Johnson, UK
Lead developer on Siebel Call Centre upgrade project for Johnson and Johnson (v6.02 Life Sciences to 7.5 eMedical). Responsible for co-ordinating development and upgrade of the Call Centre application with middleware consultants (webMethods), upgrade estimation, supervision of other developers and co-ordinating design and upgrade with the Sales Force Effectiveness Project (see below).
Siebel consultant for a Sales Force Effectiveness project, designing and implementing a multi-national sales force tool and building on the Call Centre application. Advising and briefing project team on the Call Centre design and providing input to Siebel application design and development.

Guidant, Belgium
Functional Lead developer on Siebel 7.04/7.5 eMedical Sales Force project for Guidant (Brussels). Full life-cycle project, responsible for gather business requirements, fit/gap analysis, application design and estimation of build costs. Frequent customer interaction at I.T. Staff, European manager and Director level.
The project had a target roll out to 600 mobile sales force users, with a very successful pilot to 30 users across two countries. The application was a multi-lingual (English and German), multi-organisation design and was based on thick, thin and remote client access. Business requirements were gathered for the Belgian, German, French and Italian countries and a unified business process designed based on these requirements.

Johnson and Johnson, UK
Technical Lead developer on Siebel 6.02 LifeSciences project for Johnson and Johnson. Involved in the full life-cycle of the project. Areas of responsibility included management of the development and testing environment, guiding and advising other developers and acting as the point of contact between IBM and a third party middleware company involved in the project (webMethods). I was responsible for the technical design and configuration decisions and I took responsibility for and made many of the more technical configurations on the project. I also developed custom script using Siebel eScript (Java Script), where standard configuration was not possible. The system has been running live since April and has received high praise with the customer, resulting in contract extension and further development work.
The project was to implement a Call Centre, handling sales and enquiries for all of the Johnson and Johnson franchises in the UK.
Johnson and Johnson also acted as a key customer in the development of Siebel eMedical/ePharma 7.5 and have given input and business case scenarios to Siebel for inclusion in future releases of Siebel.

Investigating the role of a group of enzymes in colorectal cancer. This post and my PhD, have given me good communication and presentation skills. They have also developed a keen eye for detail, excellent analytic and appraisal skills, appreciation for the larger picture and dedication.
