This role required me to travel globally and I have had the pleasure of dealing with a number of international and local customers like SBSA, SAA, ABSA, Nedcor, EDS/Saab-Trolhattan, Sweden, Old Mutual – Cape Town, Merchants Sa/Citibank, Saa.com, TDS, ABSA Brokers, ABSA Direct.
At a recent Gartner Symposium: ITExpo, held in Johannesburg, South Africa, August 5-7 2002, Ed Thompson presented findings and rated CRM Vendors and Service Providers. Gartner segments Siebel Service Providers around the world into three categories; Technologists, Strategists and Operationalists. This business unit within the Dimension Data was placed in the area in which the above three segments overlap, along with only three other companies (IBM, Accenture, CSC) (Reference: Ed Thompson, 32B, SAF2, 8/02)
Responsibilities:
Developed Siebel/CRM strategies and architectures for clients
Consulted on CRM implementations/projects on front office implementation and integration
Performed Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and managed workshops to facilitate customer requirements definition and solution building.
Architected Solutions involving the Siebel Application and a number of third party applications including; SAP, Genesys, Avaya, Nice and so forth.
